Leukemia is a dastardly form of cancer that even effects children, and this year our friends, Biascagne Cicli, are again auctioning one of their impeccable restorations to raise funds to help cure this disease. A vintage Bottechia frame has been re-instated to a level that probably surpasses the original.
On the 1st of December, an eBay auction will open for this superb machine, with a starting price of €222.22. The auction will run until 9.00pm, 10th December. The proceeds of the sale will be forwarded to Città della Speranza in Padua, an association that supports research for children with leukemia, and supports their families, since 1994.
While the age of the frame is around 40 years, Biascagne Cicli have stripped and repainted the gentleman’s frame in dove-grey, white and baby blue hues that are as close to the original as possible. The drivetrain is fixed, reminiscent of bikes of this era. The components have been carefully selected to reflect the frame’s vintage, such as Atala cranks, polished Record Elan rims, and an Ursuss front brake caliper activated by an authentically patinated lever.
For your chance to own one of the most genuinely stylish bicycles on the market, check back on the Biascagne Cicli website or ‘Like’ their facebook page to be informed of the auction’s opening. Remember, the winning bid will be donated to Città della Speranza, directly benefiting children who are fighting a very dangerous enemy, leukemia.
