Portland’s Ira Ryan and Tony Pereira, who together form Breadwinner Cycles, both have a love for fast movement, regardless of whether it’s on a motorcycle or a bicycle. Their passion for motion was the inspiration behind this special edition Lolo Sport.
The Lolo is designed to Go Fast, an ethos that is proudly emblazoned on the custom-painted Ritchey Solostreem handlebar, and it’s a spirit that Tony and Ira have been evolving after their many years of cycling — both racing and for pleasure.
This special edition Lolo Sport was offered for a limited time earlier this year but hopefully, it won’t be the last that we’ll see of such projects. It’s an individual embellishment to what are already superbly-made frames.
The W/// Lolo Sport came spec’d with three tiers of components: the Comp, Pro or Elite packages, all made by SRAM and offering varying levels of performance or taste. As well as the packages, customers benefitted from other top shelf parts.
As mentioned, the custom-painted Ritchey Solostreem handlebar was a highly desirable option, and was paired with an ENVE Thru Axle Disc fork, a Chris King Inset 7 Headset, and a choice of 3T, Thomson or ENVE cockpit options.
Of course, underneath the “motorsport-inspired” paint is the award-winning frame — double oversize Columbus Spirit tubing, TIG welded with a Paragon head tube up front and proprietary stainless Breadwinner Stainless Thru Axle dropouts in the rear.
Ira and Tony have been building frames together for years now, long enough to establish a strong working relationship, and their bikes are proof. The W/// Lolo Sport is no exception — what a pleasure it would be to pick one up from the guys in person.
