The Grinduro phenomenon hit Quincy, California this weekend, and the purple event also witnessed, along with a whole lot of graveled fun, the release of a brand new model from Breadwinner Cycles — the Limited Edition G-Road.
The G-Road was developed specifically for the type of riding featured at Grinduro, but while the event is celebrated only over one weekend, the new Breadwinner will comfortably carry you over rocky trails all year round.
You’ll have to be quick, though: orders for the G-Road are only open until the 20th of October. Each frame will be built by Tony Pereira and Ira Ryan to your dimensions, along with a custom fork by Chris Igleheart — the father of the segmented fork.
The fork has plenty of accommodation for lowrider racks, fenders or anything cages, making this an extremely versatile dirt road racer or light off-road tourer. The original model shown here features Schwalbe’s G-One Bite tires, which have a 54mm width.
The G-Road comes as a complete package as pictured for US$6395.00, which includes paint by Colorworks, a SILCA Impero Ultimate pump, Chris King hubs and your choice of rims, a SRAM Force drivetrain, Thomson cockpit, and a Fabric Saddle.
That’s a helluva deal. Head to the website for more information and remember, orders close on the 20th of October. Big thanks to Dylan VanWeelden for the action shot.
