Cielo Sportif

Chris King references the Camino Cielo for his frame manufacturing business. ‘Sky’s Pathway’ is a twisty section of road in the Santa Ynez mountains, behind Santa Barbara, upon which Chris defined his ideals for frame design. They are epitomized by his Sportif model, a combination of classic style and modern engineering, constructed by a legend of cycling innovation.

The Sportif is a tig-welded True Temper OX Platinum steel frame guaranteed to deliver the same confidence and reliability as any Chris King Precision Component. This particular Sportif is owned by Matt Haughey, an advocate of US made cycling products and a driving force behind Oregon’s Buy Local team. Not only is the frame by Chris King, but also the headset, forks, bottom bracket and hubs. The wheel set is by Corsa Concepts, another Portland business. The all-US bike is completed by the Thomson stem and seat post. Thanks to Jared Sourney for the fine photography.
