Crema Cycles Static 29er

Crema Cycles Static 29er

Last weekend’s 2014 Berliner Fahrradschau revealed a few surprises, as you’d expect from such a central European and bike-friendly location. If you looked closely, among the electric assisted cargo bikes and fiets, you might have spotted this handsome 29er from Germany’s own Crema Cycles.

Crema Cycles, organisers of the famous Crosstoberfest, is located in the Bavarian town of Füssen, about 5 kilometres north of the Austrian border. Ken Bloomer is the chief commander and frame designer at Crema and has worked with Brodie, Dean, Sycip and Independent Fabrication.

As well as cyclocross, Ken is passionate about road riding and mountainbiking, and his Static 29er is a fine example of his experience. This edition is a collaboration with ENVE and features their new MTN fork (with integrated fender), and a custom made carbon seat tube.

“We showed this bike at the 2014 Berliner Fahrradschau,” Ken tells us, “and will be offering 10 of these limited edition frames later this summer. The frame was built by our frame builder in the US, Alchemy Bicycles, who also did the paint. The complete bike weighs in right at 8kg with pedals.”

Contact Ken through the Crema Cycles website for more information. Special thanks to ertzui film for the photos.
