By now, you should have a fair idea of the advantages of a custom frame over an off-the-peg model: tailored geometry, purpose-built to your particular riding style and an individual selection of components… Not to mention a bike that resonates with the spirit of the builder. But really, it’s the details like those exhibited on the latest from Tom Donhou that make it all worthwhile.
Described as a “slit skirt” feature, the pearl white paint is left from beneath the top tube, revealing smooth fillet brazing under the seat tube cluster. You won’t find an aspect like that in your local bike shop. It’s a handful of beef — a 44mm head tube and oversized Columbus XCR tubes provide a stiff ride for a tall frame that will perform flawlessly with a full ENVE, Chris King and Dura Ace build kit.
