Faggin Primavera

Faggin Primavera

A lesser known Italian marques, Faggin are still manufacturing steel frames by hand in the northern city of Padova. They’ve made a successful jump to include world-class carbon-fiber frames in their range, also made by hand, making them one of the few remaining authentic family-run workshops.

Marcello Faggin (pronounced Fah-JEEN) started his company in 1945 and the quality of his craftsmanship eventually elevated his reputation to a world-famous level. Marcello’s daughters, Maria Rosa, Gianna, Carla and Cristina, have been integral members of staff since they were 15 years old and are now carrying on the legacy of their father.

Underneath the sumptuous leather wrap is a Primavera frame, constructed from Columbus Thron. It’s one of three models in the Faggin ‘Fixed’ range, which expounds upon their well-established experience of building frames destined for the velodrome. The Primavera is available in brown, pictured here, or black — both are matched with a copper-riveted Brooks saddle and come equipped with a full White Industries drive train and hubs.

A perfect compliment to your Ermenegildo Zegna suit, the Primavera is available on order from the Faggin website. You can also view the rest of their range, which encompasses both the traditional steel beauties which are so familiar, as well as the ultra-modern carbon fiber frames which will take the family’s name into the mind of the next generation.
