Gios Torino Cyclocross

Gios Torino Cyclocross

Cyclocross has been enjoying a recent revival in popularity, and it’s more than just a good excuse to ride one’s bike in the off season, regardless of the mud. It’s an age-old tradition, along with path racing and bicycle polo, that is constantly being reinterpreted for a new generation of cyclists.

While there’s nary a bicycle manufacturer without a cyclocross frame in their lineup, Gios Torino have been in the game for years. This is their 1975 Record cyclocross edition, liveried in Team Brooklyn blue. As according to the model designation, it’s equipped with Campagnolo Record components, along with Mafac brakes and an Assos saddle. The cockpit is graced by a pantographed Cinelli stem and bar, with a streamlined design that feels as speedy today as it did 36 years ago.

This Gios is remarkable condition for it’s age, although it does show definite signs of ‘cross use, the details of which you can view on the always excellent Speedbicycles website.
