The Sydney leg of Australia’s inaugural custom and handmade bicycle show, Made To Measure, opened last night, and will continue to be open to the public all weekend. It will be a slimmed-down version of the show held in Melbourne last weekend, but a visit is essential for those passionate about beautiful bicycles. It’s a definite sign that Australian interest in bikes is growing ever stronger. One of the bikes that will be on display is this vintage track frame by legendary Australian builder, Jim Bundy.
It’s owned by Jim’s son, Peter, and each mark in the chrome is a testament to the Bundy legacy. Peter Bundy Cycles is continuing the family tradition: located in Sydney, he offers a complete frame building service, as well as repairs, wheelbuilding and servicing. Check out his website here. As well as Jim’s pista frame, on display will be bikes by several of Australia’s up-and-coming builders, and custom bikes ranging from vintage mixtes and choppers to a bamboo bike and tourers.
