Have you ever dreamed of being a sponsored cyclist, paid to travel the world and ride your bike? Most professionals will tell you it’s not as glamorous as it’s made out to be, but not an experience they would trade for the world. Kindhuman is a Canadian brand of frames and apparel that has come up with a plan to offer that dream to young leaders through the Take The Lead Cycling Scholarship.

If you are or know of a cyclist between the age of 12-17 who is a leader in their classroom, community and home, and would appreciate over $5000 worth of equipment including Kindhuman’s Kampionne road bike, to chase their racing dreams, check out their Facebook video contest. Scholarship recipients will be announced once all submissions have been reviewed after February 28th, 2014.

Kindhuman also offer their Leadership Initiative which offers special access to our products to community leaders like nurses, coaches, teachers, police officers, fire fighters and the like. But they aren’t limited to service people: anyone who is making a difference or ‘Taking The Lead’ in their community is eligible. Their line includes apparel and all-American-made Reynolds 853 frames.

The Kampionne is a carbon roadie, but their Klassic road, Springbok ‘crosser and Rhebok 29er, featured here, are real steel. The Rhebok has a low center of gravity, nimble steering and tight wheel base. A CNC-machined headtube is up front, in the rear is an Interchange dropout for easy geared or single speed conversion. The handmade frame is $1,800 and shipping is included in the final price.
