Kinfolk Spring

Kinfolk Spring

Every morning on my morning commute I’m reminded of the season’s turning. It’s definitely cooling down in the southern hemisphere, while I’m continually reading updates from our northern brethren about how warm it’s getting up there. This new Kinfolk frame was also a poignant reminder—we featured a Kinfolk last November that was shot amongst the Autumn leaves—the lilac cherry blossoms are a traditional Japanese sign of Spring.

Japanese-based Will Goodan is the proud recipient of Kusaka-san’s frame building skill, and Will captured the ambience of the build and the season perfectly. Traditional Keirin-style glitter-flecked lilac paint is reflected by a pair of Suzue Pro-Max hubs.

Special thanks to John Buellens at Kinfolk for the scoop, and Will Goodan for the beautiful photography. Check out more detail shots on his Flickr.
