Our old friends Tokyo Fixed, London’s premier local bike shop, recently moved into a new space and changed their name to Kinoko Cycles, but they continue to offer world-class service and accessibility to the best brands, including New Hampshire’s Independent Fabrications.
The Indy Fab workshop has seen plenty of changes of their own over their eighteen-year tenure as manufacturers of ultra-fine steel, titanium and carbon fibre frames. Regardless of employee roster changes, they still maintain the same high quality that permeates their reputation.
One of their Columbus XCr stainless steel racing frames wended its way to Kinoko Cycle’s Soho store in Golden Square, dressed up in Shimano’s Di2 group set and a full ENVE kit. The vibrant Indy Fab graphics are still visible, but they’re only a thin veneer on top of a pedigree road warrior.
Thanks to Bodhan for the build and Bobby for the photos. If you’re in London, make sure you drop into the store and if you cant, they offer online ordering and have built an awesome virtual walk through for inspiration.
