KRES Strada

KRES Strada

The Melbourne-based duo of Nik and Michael sure caused a stir when they released photos of their home-grown KRES Pista a few months ago, and now they’re back with a Strada version of the aero-tubed frame. It’s just as sleek as the velodrome version, is built from the same tubes and further reinforces the style to which this up-and-coming Australian workshop is growing in to.

Nik and Michael share over 20 years of fabrication experience and a passion for both cycling and motorbikes. They’re pouring that passion into KRES Cycles and are intent on producing modern Australian handmade frames. Their Pista has already proved to be very popular, before adding the Strada to their offering, which will soon include cycling apparel as well.

Like the Pista, the KRES Strada features an aero down tube made from a cromoly usually reserved for the motorsport industry, mixed with a double butted Columbus Thron top tube and a triple butted Columbus Life seat tube. It’s designed around standard road geometry of a 975mm wheelbase and 73.5 degree angles, although personalized geometry is available.
