MAP Bicycles Artisan Rando

One of the more quietly spoken builders from Portland, Oregon, is Mitch Pryor of MAP Bicycles. The subtlety of his frames belie their quality, and reinforce the maxim that real style doesn’t need to shout. This frame is touted as an ‘Artisan Randonneur’, referencing Kirk Pacenti’s lug set, which Mitch incorporated into the build. The fillet brazed bottom bracket shell forms a stern contrast, and provides a cool canvas against which to display a custom quill stem, beset with a compass. The front rack and decaleur is also custom built, perfectly formed to match the lines of the wheel and fender, a suitable support for the Guu-watanabe luggage. See more on Mitch’s website and flickr.
