On-One Inbred

On One Inbred

UK-based On-One continues to provide a solid range of bikes, frames, forks and accessories and have established themselves a well deserved reputation for no-frills reliability. Jeremy Virag recently completed the build-up of his Inbred frame into a rigid mountain goat of a machine.

Jeremy built up his Inbred with components that were selected for function, durability and budget. Power is transmitted via a Shimano SLX, XTR and SRAM X9 drive train, XT hubs have been laced to Mavic XC717 hoops and contact is maintained with the eternally resilient Thomson stem and seat post. Formula Oro hydraulic brakes will provide the deceleration.

I love the color scheme on this issue — I’m reminded of the John Player Special Lotus 77, and I’m assured Jeremy’s Inbred will handle itself equally as well on the single track.

Wow, great looking bike – it looks like an updated version of my Bontrager. I would have gone with black stem/seatpost/headset/spacers though.

  • what forks?

looks like an On One Superlight, in the White Bros., ORIGIN8, eXotic rigid vein.

Fine machine, and high 5 for including the phrase “Inbred will handle itself”
