The Polish Podia crew successfully launched their Roadventures program this year, partnering with the UK Genesis brand to provide able machines for their participants. This explosion of color is the same bike you could be riding on the next European tour.
The Roadventure expeditions are a series of fully supported tours across Central Eastern Europe hosted by the Podia team, who has an intrinsic knowledge of the local regions. By the look of last year’s event, they have created a truly unique itinerary.
In June last year, a group of ten riders and guides from locations as diverse as Warsaw, Paris, Berlin, Liège and Hong Kong met up in Kraków to traverse some grand landscapes and ride through some magical mountains.
This year’s Roadventure will again encompass the Tatra Mountains: arcing across the Czech Republic, through Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and the Ukraine and into Romania. And like last year, entrants will have the opportunity to ride bikes provided by Genesis.
This particular Genesis Volare 853 will be commandeered by one of the tour guides. Campagnolo is another partner of the Roadventures, and so the Volare is equipped with the new Potenza mechanical groupset.
It won’t be easy to lose the guide with this bike, painted by Colourburn Studio using Podia’s Aerospace Orange jersey as the inspiration. Unfortunately, the 2017 Roadventure has already sold out, but sign up to their mailing list to find out about the next one.
