Ritte Bicycles Crossberg

Ritte Bicycles Crossberg

Cyclocross must be one of the hardest disciplines of cycling, in terms of wear and tear on both rider and bike, which could be due to the use of what were, traditionally, road bikes that have strayed off road.

Technology has caught up with these bikes, and now there’s a plethora of beefy bikes with skinny, knobbly tyres. California’s Ritte Bicycles have thrown a formidable beast into the mix: the Crossberg.

For the Crossberg, Ritte have opted for a 7005 aluminium frame, designed around a disc-only format. Leading the charge is a Ritte carbon fork to be used with a 160mm rotor.

To cope with the muddy, bunny-hopping and off-camber punishment dealt out by a ‘cross course, a head tube tapers from a 1-1/8” top — 1-1/2” bottom, which will determine reliable steering.
