Royal H Cycles Auntie's Bike

Bryan Hollingsworth (the ‘H’ in Royal H Cycles) extends the range of his portfolio with every new frame he creates. From mind-blowing time trial bikes to lithe track machines, cyclocross and townies, each addition demonstrates a spirited style that’s both ornate and refined; deserved of the Royal title.

Built specifically for Bryan’s aunt, the geometry has been tweaked to ease the aggravation that her old Trek caused, another benefit of opting for a bespoke build over a generic pop-out frame. This bike has 6 degrees of top tube slope and an extended head tube to compensate. Even a few degrees of deviation from standard road geometries will negate the use of most available lug sets, so Bryan opted for a fillet brazed head tube and reserved the lugs for the bottom bracket shell and the seat tube cluster. Bryan tells me ‘the Nitto bars are the most comfortable things I’ve steered to date’, and I’d be inclined to agree with him. Have a look at Bryan’s superb portfolio on the Royal H Cycles website.
