It’s the most inspiring thing to watch an artist at work, whether it’s a painter, a chef, a skater or any creative person who relishes what they do and has complete mastery of their tools. Both David of Death Spray Custom and Matthew Sowter of Saffron Frameworks are artists of their crafts, one of the airbrush and the other of the torch. This is the award-winning result of their collaboration.
Recently, Matthew and David joined forces on a stainless steel frame that won over judges at the 2014 Bespoked Bristol show. Deservedly, it won the ribbon for Best in Show. Matthew’s fillet brazed frame, dressed with David’s many-coloured-coat and built up with Ultegra Di2, ENVE and Chris King components, fused together to form a white-hot lightning bolt of a bike.
