It’s been a busy weekend for the frame builders exhibiting at Bespoked 2017, and now it’s all wrapped up for another year. By all accounts, it was the most successful event yet, as evidenced by the high quality of bikes on display, like Quirk Cycles’ TCR Dazzler.
Rob Quirk is a previous competitor in the Transcontinental Race, so he has the experience to know what makes a good vehicle for the event, knowledge he applied to this frame, which will be underneath Eleanor Jaskowska when she participates this year.
Built from a mix of Columbus Spirit and Life tubing, it has gently bowed seat stays which will offer a reasonable amount of compliance over the varying road surfaces, along with a TRP CX fork in the front.
Visibility is a necessary factor for TCR riders, and that is one area where a Quirk frames excels; Cole Coatings applied a broad palette of pink, teal and deep blue for the paint work. If the event goes ahead this year, there’ll be three Quirk frames at the start line.
