Yeti 25th 575

Yeti 25th Anniversary 575

Yeti is one of the original mountain bike manufacturers who remain staunchly proud of their heritage and are celebrating that culture with a 25th Anniversary release of some of the most iconic bikes from the Yeti range. This is the 25th Anniversary 575, a versatile all-mountain conqueror that captures the old school aspects of the Yeti culture.

In contrast to the current season’s color ways of white, turquoise and black, the 25th 575 is liveried in classic team colors, also reflected with custom painted Fox forks. The desert turquoise, yellow and the dart graphics reminds us of the days when names such as John Tomac, Missy Giove and Miles Rockwell ruled the slopes. The Chris King headset and bottom bracket are unique to the 25th 575, you won’t find them in this hue elsewhere. Only 249 of this frame kit has been produced, frame number 001 is staying put in the Yeti archives in Golden, Colorado. The Special Projects sticker on the down tube reveals that this is model number 143. It belongs to Sydney Yeti enthusiast Brian Seng, who patiently waited before assembling the frame to upgrade the components to this year’s Shimano XTR. Now that we’ve taken some decent shots of it in a pristine state, he can take it out for the virgin ride.

Thanks to Brian Seng and the boys at City Bike Depot.
