A while ago, Caletti Cycles posted a stop-motion clip on their Instagram feed that portrays the collaborative effort behind their completed bikes. This tall all-roader also demonstrates that symbiosis, as well as Chris King’s new Matte Punch colorway.
Matte Punch is one shade of a new range of colors that Chris King will release this year, slated for availability from December, and this brushed titanium Adventure Road model was the perfect frame to display the new components on.
Caletti worked with their partner Oliver Cleveland at Dark Matter Finishing in Colorado Springs, Colorado, who flawlessly achieved a contrasting design of grey paint, etching and brushed segmented lines that were reflected in gloss black on the ENVE fork.
For such a lot of material, the final weight turned out to be only 18.4 pounds, although that was helped by the 1×11 drivetrain. We all love this layout, although this particular assembly utilized that elusive Shimano system of Ultegra shifters and XT rear mech.
The Adventure Road bike by Caletti Cycles is a design that has been honed by the Santa Cruz workshop to perfection. It’s a versatile frame that is perfect for the local Bay Area roads and paths, yet still feels nimble and fleet.
John Caletti makes a visible effort to reduce the environmental impact of his workshop, which is a certified ‘green building’. It’s a testament to his dedication to the industry and the environment, an ethic that is evident in the high-quality frames he produces.
