Donhou Bicycles Tigger

Donhou Bicycles Tigger

If you’re old enough to remember Tigger from A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh stories, the theme for this build from Donhou Bicycles will be easy to recognize. The energetic, bouncing character is the inspiration for the nickname of Tom Donhou’s customer, originating from his breakneck riding style.

The criteria for Tigger’s order was a stainless steel frame with bi-lam joinery, and a color scheme that accentuated Tom’s craftsmanship while riding. High-polished Reynolds 853 and their new 931 tubing were used, with the bi-lam technique forging an even line from the head tube to the seat tube cluster.

Tom crafted a unicrown fork to maintain the smooth lines of the frame and carefully designed the paint to highlight the sparkling steel. A Campagnolo Super Record group set, Chris King hubs and HED Ardenne hoops complete the build, which looks sure to live up to Tigger’s joie de vivre.

Thanks to Kayti Peschke for the photography.
