Rossin Ghibli

Rossin Ghibli

Believe it or not, this Rossin pursuit actually started out as a road frame. It came into possession of the talented and dedicated designer/artist/fabricator named Olli Erkkila, and he was inspired to recreate it as a lo-pro. The frame has been built with crimped Columbus SLX tubing, and Olli fabricated a custom brake bridge from the Rossin ‘R’. Mario Rossin himself contacted Olli with his personal approval.

Olli wrestled a Bianchi steel fork into service, and was about to leave it at that until Mario Rossin himself contacted him through the Finnish Fixed Gear Blog. After procuring a 26” Silva front wheel, and given Mario’s blessing, Olli decided to take the project a little more seriously. Cinelli ‘Laser’ style gussets were added for ‘aerodynamics’, an Ambrosio rear disc wheel was customised to mimic the original front and the chain ring was machined from scratch and mirror polished. Olli resprayed the frame in rosso corsa and created reproduction decals from photographs.
