Keep The Power Meter: Sour Bicycles Bad Granny

While the rest of the cycling world is going gah-gah over carbon fiber wunderbikes, data trackers and power meters during the third stage of Le Tour de France, we’re going nuts over the twin top-tubed Bad Granny fun bike from Germany’s Sour Bicycles.

Sour is based in Dresden, Germany, and they have a very good-looking range of bikes in their catalog that isn’t afraid of poking fun at tarmac-specific road bikes made from modern materials. Aside from their tall skinny-wheelers, our favorite is Bad Granny.

The twin top tubes remind us of the 90s-era Kona Humuhumu and 70s-style klunkers: built for 29″/27.5″ wheels and a single speed drivetrain, it still caters for derailleurs, suspension forks and dropper posts, but make ours a simple skid machine, please.
