Vanilla Bicycles Randonneur

Vanilla Bicycles Commuter

Sacha White and the team at Vanilla Bicycles in Portland obviously haven’t been slowing down for the holiday season; their latest creation is an elaborate randonneur with all the modern refinements.

Each Vanilla build seems to be more impressive than the last. Maybe it’s my natural inclination towards randonneurs and touring bikes but I’m going to declare this as my favorite Vanilla. A blend of classic and modern components round out the spec sheet, a Schmidt front hub to provide luminescence, Specialites crank set, an Acorn ‘Boxy Rando Bag’ for portage, Shimano XTR rear and Dura-Ace front mech compile the drive train. There is also Vanilla’s high attention to details that make Sacha’s frames so highly sought after. Like a leather chain stay protector and matching fenders, which happen to be set off perfectly by the lines of the front rack. Perfection!

Keep an eye of the Vanilla Bicycles website and Flickr for more details.
