Vendetta Cycles Purple Haze

Vendetta Cycles Purple Haze

If you really wanted to make an impression on Valentines Day, you should’ve had a chat with Conor Buescher and Garrett Clark of Vendetta Cycles about a custom frame for your sweetheart. This latest women’s-specific frame, nicknamed Purple Haze, and the last Vendetta we featured here, The Abyss, will be making their way to Denver next weekend for the 2013 NAHBS.

Maggie, the owner of Purple Haze, is recovering from knee surgery and now has plenty to look forward to. The reward for her patience is a Columbus-tubed steed with double-taper SL seat stays. The Henry James lugs, tubes, drop outs and fork crowns have all been silver brazed and is completely kitted out with Campagnolo 11 Speed Chorus, hand built wheels and White Industries hubs.

Purple Haze will be a fine long-distance, all-weather rider, thanks to the fenders with matching paint by Colorworks. Traveling won’t be an expensive problem either, as Vendetta Cycles incorporated S&S Couplers into the build. Ray at Handlebra provided the finishing touch by upholstering the bars with custom-stitched leather. If you’re heading to the NAHBS, you can check out Purple Haze in person.

PS: I’d like to welcome Fuso Cycles on board as a sponsor of The Spoken. Russ Denny has over 25 years frame building experience and was apprenticed to Dave Moulton. Russ is continuing Dave’s Fuso brand and offers four handmade steel road frames in his lineup — all with a strong and distinct American heritage. Head to the Fuso Cycles website for more photos and information.
