Regular readers of The Spoken will remember the name of Kevin Saunders and KGS Bikes. His ‘Lion Rampant’ Parlee Z1 caused a small sensation when we featured it last year, as did his Bridgestone Sprint.
Each bike is a testament to his passion for the best bikes money can buy and his dedication to providing his customers with their ultimate dream machine.
KGS Bikes are located in Texas and using Kevin’s propriety Balance Point™ fitting system, are able to exactly gauge the correct physical geometry required for your custom frame. In this case, Kevin commissioned Kent Eriksen and his team of titanium artists to create this all-mountain dual suspension mountain bike.
A Ventana rear end was integrated, along with a titanium-sprung Elka Stage 5 shock and Rock Shox Revelation forks. The transmission is SRAM XX, pulled up by Hope brakes and levers.
The top-shelf build is rounded out by an Industry Nine wheelset, Seven bars and an ENVE stem.
Unfortunately, Kevin has now moved on from bike building and runs KGS Studios, specializing in fine-art wall portraits. He’ll be missed.
