Greg LeMond is considered to be one of the greatest American cyclists of all time. This week, LeMonster has returned with a new bike brand — some of the sleekest and tidiest urban rides we’ve ever seen. They’re designed beautifully, carbon fiber — and electric.
Aside from being an incredibly talented athlete, Greg LeMond is also a champion of new technologies, namely the use of carbon fiber as a legitimate frame material for racing bicycles, which his new bikes are also constructed from.
At this stage, there are two models in the range, the step-through Dutch and the Daily, shown here in the pink color scheme. This is just the beginning, however, with “a whole ecosystem of products under the LeMond bike brand” to be developed.
We’re loving the minimalist look, a result of the integrated stem/bar combo, lighting system and hidden motor and battery. Nothing seems to be out of place and there’s a notable lack of bells and whistles — literally.
This design language is unsurprising, coming from a racer who was one of the first to make use of the aero helmet and handlebars during that golden era of road racing… which seems a long time ago from the super-modern aesthetic of his new brand.
The new branding is peppered with nostalgic retro references to those days and LeMond’s racing history, which add a sense of integrity to the bikes, as well as a joyful dash of 80s culture. No complaints from us.

The Daily is equally as exciting, albeit in a more dignified and European pose, containing the same tech and features, packaged into a step-through frame design. Hopefully, the Daily will dispel the myth that a mixte is a ‘lady’s bike’.
