This summer, the Rapha Continental riders will certainly discover the road less travelled, as it ventures into Hidden Europe. A new selection of frame builders have been enlisted to build bikes for the team, the first of which to be revealed is the Czech Republic’s Festka, and the robust road bike they built for Stefan Rohner.
Stefan’s new Festka will have to be resilient, as the route won’t be a golden highway. It will be archaic, but breathtaking. Their Continental bike is based on the Columbus XCr frame currently available in their lineup, built up with SRAM’s (pink) Red group set, ENVE components and wheels laced to Chris King hubs.
The Festka bike is a thoroughly modern interpretation of the Continental theme, but the emphasis is to create an example that is the epitome of the builder’s style. Festka have been causing ripples with their bold carbon fibre frames and dazzling paintwork, and the Rapha bike is a succinct adjunct to their proudly Czech brand.
