Globe x Malarky

Very Nearly Almost is one of the world’s leading magazines on street art and graffiti and must be one of the longest in publication, having launched in 2006. VNA recently collaborated with Globe Bikes UK and London-based artist Malarky on a very important project: bringing a little color to the city’s streets.

Half of Malarky’s time is spent operating in Barcelona and it’s easy to see the influence that the colorful capital of Catalonia has upon his work — especially set against the drab backdrop of old London town. Globe Bikes UK offered up one of their models — The Live — to which Malarky applied his signature spectrum and abstract characters.

Now that the project is completed, Malarky’s rolling artwork up for grabs in a competition. Head over to the Globe Bikes UK Facebook page for a chance to win what will, without a doubt, be the most striking bike in your street. Special thanks to Very Nearly Almost editor Greg Beer for the story.

Cool! I like it. Seems like it should live in Miami, though.
