Royal H Cycles Philly Show Bike

Royal H Cycles Philly Show Bike

Bryan Hollingsworth’s entry to this year’s Philadelphia Bike Show suitably answered each of the ‘Artisan / Activist / Alternative’ criteria. It’s a fully dressed road bike that refuses to fit into any presupposed pigeonhole.

Bryan’s association with Massachusetts’ Seven Cycles assisted in fulfilling the ‘Artisan’ role. They completed the paint, which included a lick of real gold leaf, and is based on the colorway of nukepedia.com, according to the customer’s specification. Nuke now has an official team vehicle, as well branded as any Gulf Oil scheme. The frame and forks have been equipped with Avid disc brakes, breaking free from tradition. A custom removable chain hanger is included in the details, which will protect that precious paint, but also enables the frame to be fitted with racks. The cables are internally routed, with an entry piercing the down tube right in the center.

The Philly Show Bike is a fitting inclusion to Bryan’s showcase, which you can view on his website and flickr. These photos were taken by Seven Cycles’ own Jonathan Henig.
